The National Association of Bassa Students (NABS) which came into existence in the year 1963 (63 years ago) was created to immensely exchange the knowledge of academics, social and cultural values among the Bassa Students.

Before we proceed, let us look into these individuals who have served this body (NABS) in making sure that the Bassa Students in Nigeria keep exchanging academic, social and cultural values.

The aforementioned people worked passionately to see that the educational life of the Bassa man keeps getting a high boost daily in both academic excellence and population.

They have as well ensured that the sociocultural image of the Bassa man is well preserved and practiced for the younger generation. Hence, creating avenues for social and cultural practices during conventions.

NABS AS A PLATFORM FOR ACADEMIC EXCHANGE

NABS as a platform instituted for the Bassa Students is an avenue for organizing academics programs like seminars at the National and State levels and Tutorials at institutional levels to bring awareness and knowledge on how to succeed in the academic environment and also excel with good grades.

During the National Conventions, Seminars can be done where students from different states and institutions can exchange academic knowledge and as well compete with each other by displaying their academic prowess.

NABS AS A PLATFORM FOR SOCIAL LIFE EXCHANGES.

NABS as a platform for Social Life Exchanges gives room for the Bassa Students to have interpersonal relationships and interactions among one another.

Here, the Bassa Students will be able to tell their counterparts from other states stories about their academic or professional lives, personal lives, communities etcetera.

This also creates the room for musical performance, comedies and dances where the Bassa Students who are genius in those areas displays for their counterparts.

When students spend time with others who have similar interests, they have opportunities to learn about different backgrounds and perspectives. These activities help students develop important skills such as friendship, communication, and tolerance, which are highly valued in today’s world as organizations look for individuals who can work with diversity.

The Social Life Exchanges has also benefited numerous of the Bassa Students as their interactions especially that of the males and females led to marital companions.

NABS AS A PLATFORM FOR CULTURAL EXCHANGES

NABS as a body provides a platform where the Bassa cultural activities can be displayed for leisure and learning.

Since the Bassa Nation at this point doesn't have a National event or gathering, NABS should be the platform where the Bassa people from different States will display our cultural activities or practices.

Most of the Bassa Students today, their first encounter of the Ugunu Dance came through NABS conventions or programs. Other of our cultural activities or practices can also be displayed during conventions.

Cultural activities help in maintaining and passing down traditional practices, rituals, and art forms from one generation to the next. This ensures that cultural heritage remains intact and continues to be valued.

In a nutshell, NABS as a platform for the Bassa Students should be able to provide an avenue where both academic, social and cultural knowledge can be passed and thrive among the students during Conventions if at all there can't be mid-year programs or Seminars.
